It is official. Our Meet n Greet is my ABSOLUTE favorite event of the year! Everyone is excited to be there. There 's anticipation and eagerness in the smiling faces. Hugs abound. Former students and families come to give hugs, smiles and handshakes. Everyone is rested and happy. Nobody is disappointed, sad, frustrated or mad. The only expectation is to come and enjoy each other and celebrate learning. There was a line of students and families waiting to get inside as we finished preparations. How sweet is that image?
Students came with their supplies and unpacked, found a seat, and learned where to line up on the playground. The classrooms, gym, music room, library and computer labs were open for all to see.
The next important day is... THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! Thursday, August 29th, at 9:10 in the morning. You may be on campus at 8:45, but no earlier. I can't wait to start off our new year of learning together. See you soon!

Welcome to the 2014 School Year!
Date to remember:
Monday, August 26 = Meet and Greet @ 5:00-6:00pm
This is changed from Tuesday
Please join the entire school staff as we open our doors so that your family and you can see the classrooms, gym, music room, computer room, library, lunch room, commons, playground and the office. You will want to see where you are seated and who will be in your classroom.
A big tip: find out where to line up on the playground, so that you will be prepared on the first morning. The hint here is to look for the covered basketball court and state tag as this is a good way to find our classroom from the playground.
Please feel free to bring your school supplies during this time because this will make your backpack so much lighter on the first day of school.
You may also add money to your school account as Mrs. King, our cook, will be here to greet you, as well.
I hope to see you then.
