Kent Fire Department Visits!

This is Kirsti. She came to see us in October which is Fire Prevention Month.

We learned about "Where There's Smoke There's Science."

The Fire Triangle: fuel, heat and oxygen

If one of these three elements is missing, the fire cannot survive.

 

More tips:

There should be a smoke alarm on every floor of a home.

We should have two ways to get out of a room.

Every family needs a meeting place, so when they escape they know each family member is safe.

We learned that each of us needs to memorize our phone numbers in case we need to call 911. It's a good way to be responsible and safe, to know your address and phone number.

Ms. Kirsti also brought us a flyer full of information and bracelets. We took the flyer home for homework.
