It's a Cat in the Hat Kind of Day

To celebrate Dr. Seuss' 110th birthday, we had ourselves a whole lot of Dr. Suess activities today.

Our craftivity today was a celebration of all the Dr. Seuss books we read during reading. We also worked on our conventions - remembering that titles have to have the first letter capitalized for each work unless it's one of those conjunctions like "a" and "the" and "and." But those conjuctions have to be capitalized IF they are the first letter in the title.
 Phew!
Got all that? I know you do.

Here is our classroom library of Dr. Seuss books we had the privilege to read today. Of course, Mrs. Standlee doesn't own ALL of the Dr. Seuss books. That's what our school library is for...

Mrs. Standlee bought each student a cool Dr. Seuss character eraser and each student got a nifty sticker.
