Rock Washing

In science, we learned how geologists (scientists who study earth materials) wash rocks to see what happens to their properties.
The basalt rock made the water bubble.

The tuff rock got a lot more yellowish, but nothing happened to the water.

The scoria just got more dark. Nothing happened to the water.

If you are wondering what basalt is, here is a description and a sample.

This is tuff.

And this is basalt

Here is a sample of an entry in our science journals.
